who are you?

Who are you?

Who are you
All dressed up in red,
White and blue?
Flaunting your pride
Waving your guns
What made you so afraid you
Sold your soul to be a slave, now
You’re starving in your waves of grain
Now you avert your eyes
Now you deny your rights
Your lamp is now a dimming flame

Who are you
Do you remember? Once you said.
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning
To breathe free,
The wretched refuse of
Your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless,
Tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside
I lift my lamp beside
I lift my lamp beside
The golden door!"
